Stonewalled

I've always liked the look of the stone walls in the Brady Bunch house. I would love, love, love to have a stone wall in my home. Here are some pics I managed to find via The Greg Brady Project (Barry Williams' blog). I thought there would've been a load more out there...

I have an immense crush on Jenn Ski's home - I love everything about it, including these walls.

Some more stone wall inspiration...

  1. I'm with you on this one. Stone walls in interiors are such a strong statement, but also natural. I particularly love the mid-century designs where the stone wall continues from the inside to the outside, with a window wall dividing the two - gorgeous!

  2. Hello M-D!

We are Kindred Spirits at least on two things---I thinks a house needs lots of books and some good stonework to be Complete. Both have a restful quality---you can sit back and just enjoy books for their visual beauty just like stonework.
I'm remodeling an old mill house (after longing for my own place for decades) and it will have lots of both----and lots of wood and glass too.
I hope your House comes together at just the right time and in just the right way.
    I'm a stone-mason by trade by-the-way.
Have you seen the book 'Stone by Design' by Lew French?
    I think you'd enjoy it.

  3. Hi John
I'd love to see pictures of the house you're remodeling.
Haven't seen that book before but I'll look into it now. :)
