O Ford

Wow! Further to my post urging the motor industry to produce retro-styled cars, I came across the Ford O21C designed by Marc Newson - who designed the Nimrod chair shown in my previous post.



Ford asked Newson to design this concept car which was shown at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show.
Check out the Nimrod-like chairs (they swivel!):

Sadly, the O21C (named after the designer's favourite pantone colour) was never made available to the public.
Again, I would much rather drive this car than the boring models on offer today.
